Weddings on the Mountain

To accompany the memories made on your wedding day, Cheaha Resort State Park offers one of the most beautiful vistas in Alabama for a wedding day.  For the enjoyment of all park guests, weddings in the park are restricted to approved sites within Cheaha Park.  Trails, cabins, chalets and campsites are not approved sites.

 Questions and Answers

  • Can the Bald Rock Lodge be booked for a reception only ? Not on a weekend. We require 2 nights.  The lodge accommodates all your large wedding needs.
  • How long do you want to rent the chapel or the deck? We charge by how long you use these facilities. By 2 hours, 4 hours or all day. We need to know when you want to start and finish. Keep in mind all you do is in your rental time. There may be another wedding before or after you.  Please look below.
  • How many people?  The amount of people will help you know what area to book and what menu to select. The number of people and the size of the room may change your menu slection. The Cleburne room will accommodate 55 for a seated buffet (please see set up number 3).
  • What time is the wedding? The time of day, this will help us know when to serve the reception and how long you need the deck/chapel. Bald Rock lodge weddings have more parking area after 5 pm.
  • Please check out the menus on web site? We have selections for your budget and your menu will help you with your set up. If you want a dance area, large numger of people and  seated buffet the area you book may limit the number of people.
  • Do you want to cater your own wedding? We do not allow anyone to bring in any food or beverages other than cakes in the Cleburne room. You can cater your own wedding at the Bald Rock Lodge however; it rents by for 2 nights on weekends.  You can cater your own wedding at any pavilion.  We do not rent the deck unless we cater your reception.
  • Can we change the menu on the package?  You can add to other wise the package is priced per the menu.
  • Can we order off any of our group menus? Yes we allow you to order off the menus on our web site.
  • Can we email you our menus and get our contract per email?  Yes
  • Can we have our reception on the deck ?  The restaurant deck is wonderful for your wedding ceremony and for dancing. We do not recommend it for meals. The deck has direct wind, sunlight and other weather related  issues that do not agree with serving food.

Please Note:   No outside food and beverages may be brought into the banquet room. Facilities can not be used/entered before or after rental time.


The Restaurant Deck



The Restaurant Deck, which overlooks the Talladega National Forest, will accommodate up to 200 people and is the number one requested wedding spot in the Park. 

Two hours - $100     Four hours - $125       Six hours - $175

Full Day rental from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. - $225

Please Note

  • In case of inclement weather, the Restaurant Deck wedding can be held in the Wedding Chapel.   Please check the Wedding Chapel availability for use as a backup during deck rental booking.  When used as a weather back up, the chapel will need to be cancelled no later than two days prior to the wedding.

  • Due to the busy Peak Fall Season, October 10th - November 30, the Restaurant Deck will not be available for wedding reservations.

  • Deck Cannot be booked unless a reception is catered by Cheaha restaurant. Receptions must be in the Cleburne room or a pavilion. Cheaha Restaurant is first come first serve and can not accommodate parties of more than (8) that would like to be seated together, reserved seating is not allowed.

The Activities Building, better known as the “Wedding Chapel", is available for all groups and functions up to 75 guests. The Chapel offers pews for seating, a room for storage or dressing, a piano and organ, a gas operated fireplace, A/C and Heating, and restrooms.

Full Day rental from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. - $225

Entrance Fee to the park is not included unless you have a catered meal.

The Cleburne Room

For weddings, the Cleburne Room offers a stunning floor-to-ceiling window view of the Talladega National Forest.  Guests are allowed to decorate the room themselves and use the baker of your choice for the wedding cake.  Cheaha Mountain State Park (Exclusive Catering Rights) must provide all food and beverages consumed in banquet rooms and public spaces located in or near Cheaha Restaurant (Cleburne Room and the Deck area).  A contact list for additional needed items is available upon request.  Rental rate includes chairs and basic set up.

$125 - $350 depending on the set up.

Alcoholic Beverages:
Beer and Wine is provided through either a Host or Cash bar. There is a $40.00 bartender fee for the first hour and $10.00 for each additional hour with a three-hour minimum on Cash or Host Bars. Beer and Wine must be provided through the Lodge. No outside beverages allowed.

Located throughout the park, host a more casual reception at any one of four pavilions. Two pavilions are located near the highest point in the state, along the “picnic trail”, the stone pavilion boasts dual fireplaces.  At Cheaha Lake there are two more picnic pavilions. The stone pavilion is located on a hillside overlooking the Lake and has a wood burning fireplace. You can bring your own firewood or purchase it from us at the Country Store or Hotel office.  Cheaha Restaurant can cater or you may wish to handle all the cooking. The stone pavilions are the most requested pavilions for weddings. (please look at our pavilion page) Entrance Fee to the park is not included in pavilion rental.

Bald Rock Group Lodge

Bald Rock Lodge can handle your all your wedding needs.
Full weekend rental required (2 nights no less). 
(Day use on week day only) 


Bald Rock Lodge is the perfect one-stop location for wedding, reception and lodging. The Lodge can accommodate the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception, and lodging for family and guests. The Dining area can accommodate up to 200 people for hors d' oeuvres.  Exclusive Catering Rights.

Bald Rock Group Lodge sleeps 32 people in 12 rooms, each with its own full service restroom. The Lodge can easily host a seated reception or indoor wedding of 130 guests in the main conference/dining hall, located next to the main lobby. Outside, the terrace is furnished with five tables and 20 chairs and has an open air-pavilion with pedestal BBQ fire grills.

On the Bald Rock Group Lodge's main floor, there are six overnight rooms, with the following sleeping arrangements:

  • Room 201 – Double bed, ADA accessible bathroom (sleeps two)

  • Rooms 202 & 204 – Queen bed (each room sleeps two)

  • Room 203 – Bunk beds with single sized mattresses (sleeps two)

  • Room 205 – Two Bunk beds each with single mattresses (sleeps four)

  • Room 206 – Queen bed and bunk beds, each with single sized mattresses (sleeps four)

On the lower floor of the Bald Rock Group Lodge there are six more overnight rooms, each with its own private bath and the following sleeping arrangements:

  • Rooms 301 through 305 – Queen bed (each room sleeps two)

  • Room 306 – Queen bed and bunk beds with single sized mattress (sleeps four)

Upstairs from the lobby and conference hall there is a mezzanine with a 12-person table, and an adjoining day room with two day beds.
