DeSoto State Park
Take a Fantastic Vacation with the Family at

DeSoto Resort State Park!

Located on top of Lookout Mountain, the Civilian Conservation Corps originally constructed the park. Some of these buildings are still used. The Rustic Cabins were finished in 1939.  A 25-room motel and restaurant was built around the CCC Group Lodge in the 1970s. Restaurant serves three meals a day. Twelve A-frame chalets and seven modern log cabins are also available to rent along with a soon to be finished renovated campground. A deck has just been added for weddings and receptions.

If getting back to nature is what you are looking for, the park has woods, 15 miles of hiking trails, bike trails, swimming pool, waterfalls, campground, and picnic area. Motel rooms have rocking chairs on each deck of the rooms. Peace and quiet abounds in our wooded paradise.

Stay: Log Cabins and Chalets are $120 a night; Rustic Cabins are $85 a night while the motel rooms are $77.00. Seasonal packages are available.
Drive 90 minutes from Birmingham on I59 North to Northeast Alabama near Fort Payne and the Little River Canyon National Preserve.
