The City of Florala 139th Masonic Celebration: June 20 - 27, 2009
The Worlds oldest Masonic Celebration is held in the City of Florala. The weeklong event takes place the last full week in June referred to by locals as the June 24th celebration. Events includes a bass tournament, horse shoe tournament, beauty contest, gospel sing, Sock hop dance, street dance, 5 k alligator trot, a parade, an antique car show, games for the children, a carnival, an old time heritage demonstration, fireworks, and arts and crafts in the park. The Florala Arts & Craft Show is an annual event at Florala State Park, usually held on the last Saturday in June.
