Golf Course Temporarily Closed!

The golf course at Lake Guntersville State Park has closed for a total renovation. The course has not been renovated since it was built in the 1970s and was in need of some major repairs. New water lines are being laid, cart paths will be paved, and new greens sowed with Bermuda Tif Dwarf. A few other changes and additions will have our course looking like one of the grandest courses in the SE United States.

Please continue to make plans to visit Lake Guntersville State Park during the time our golf course is closed. We have joined in partnership with two other nearby courses who have generously agreed to offer our guests a discount on golf fees. All you have to do is verify that you have reservations at Lake Guntersville State Park and, during your stay, they will offer you the discount. The two courses are as follows:

Gunter's Landing
This course is 11 miles from the Lodge at Lake Guntersville. Special rates offered are $29 Tuesday - Friday and $39 Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. Rates include cart. The course is closed on Mondays.

Goosepond Colony
This course is about 35 miles from the Lodge at Lake Guntersville. Special rates offered are $22 Monday - Friday and $28 Saturday and Sunday. Rates include cart.

Thank you for your patience during the time our course is closed. Look for a grand reopening sometime later this year, with plans set for October 2009. In the meantime, continue to be patrons of the park and let our staff assist you in setting tee times at one of the above courses of your choice.
