There are 22 Alabama State Parks located in every area of the state from the mountains in the north to the Gulf of Mexico. Camping at an Alabama State Park is hard to beat. Twenty parks offer inexpensive campsite rentals for all types of camping set among beautiful wooded and/or waterfront settings. Modern campgrounds are equipped with full hookups, bathhouses and most welcome the pet members of your family. Wind Creek State Park on Lake Martin near Alexander City has the largest campground with over 600 sites. Over 400 campsites surrounded by pristine beaches on the Gulf coast await you at Gulf Resort State Park.
