Become a Junior. Ranger on National Jr. Ranger Day!

Located at DeSoto State Park & Little River Canyon National Preserve..No fee or registration! 

 For kids of all ages! National Jr. Ranger Day is designed to help kids & families explore & learn all about their national & state parks. By exploring & learning, kids gain an appreciation for these special places & feel a personal sense of responsibility to protect them today & into the future!

 Programs are scheduled throughout the day.

10:30 to 11:30~Rangers will be at DeSoto State Park’s Nature Center to help children with their handbook requirements, as well as a short hike centered towards children along the Azalea Cascade Boardwalk Trail.

2:00 to 3:00~Rangers will be on hand at Little River Falls in Little River Canyon for a program & short hike centered towards children. Hikers are encouraged to bring water, snacks & wear appropriate footwear on the trail.
