Main Campground Entrance

Situated along the shoreline of the 69,000 acre Lake Guntersville is Lake Guntersville State Park’s Main Campground.  The Main Campground includes 321 improved campsites, a primitive camping area, bathhouses, playground and recreation area, and country store.  All improved campsites have water and electrical hookups, picnic table, grill, and fire ring; some sections also have sewer hookups.

PLEASE NOTE: Lake Guntersville State Park Campground was severely damaged by tornados on April 27, 2011.  Many areas of the Main Campground have still not been reopened.  We currently have 90 sites located in A, B, D, and H Sections that are open; 55 that are full hookup and 35 that have water and electrical hookups.  We also have a limited number of primitive camping sites and two rental campers that are available.

  • Discounts are not available in conjunction with group rates, special packages, or other discounts.
