Fall in Love with
Lake Guntersville State Park
Make plans now for Autumn 2010!!

No need to travel long distances to view fall color when it is right here in your own back yard! Leaf peepers wil delight in what their Guntersville State Park offers as Autumn's colors are radiantly splashed across this Appalachian landscape.

Fall colors usually first appear in mid-October in the leaves of the Dogwood and Sumac. As we progress into the latter part of October and early November, fall color explodes as Oak and Maple trees begin to turn.

The colors of autumn paint the lakes, mountains, and forests of this 6,000 acre state park vibrant hues of red, gold, and flaming orange, and rival the dazzling display of a beautiful handmade patchwork quilt. Mother Nature puts on a spectacular show each year and you won't want to miss a minute of her grand production. Be sure to catch this award winning performance each year before the curtain of leaves fall.
The view from the Lodge at Lake Guntersville State Park is radiant with color during the Autumn season.

This view can be enjoyed from the back porch of our lakeside cottages.

Bring your camera and binoculars. Herons, red-tailed hawks, Eagles, kingfishers, and other waterfowl can be seen among the branches of fall foliage.
Autumn comes alive with vivid colors at Lake Guntersville State Park!
Make plans to visit Lake Guntersville Resort State Park and take in the beauty of Autumn. Take a guided nature hike or a hike at your own leisure, rent a pontoon or small fishing boat and take a fall color cruise. The possibilities are endless!
