Easter Specials at State Parks
Cheaha State Park
Easter on the Mountain April 18-19
Friday night – Puppets and Marshmallow roast!
Saturday 10 a.m. until noon. Easter party and crafts, 1 p.m. Egg hunt for 12 and under and then egg race for ages 13 and up. Sunday lunch buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the restaurant, and we will have a 75th anniversary cake for the kids. Oak Mountain State Park
7th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19
Join us for our annual Easter egg hunt that will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dogwood and Lakeside pavilions. Ages 5 and under will hunt eggs at 11 a.m. and ages 6 and up will hunt eggs at 1 p.m. Some activities will cost $1 and park admission will apply.  Call the park office for more details or overnight reservations in either the cabins or campground (205) 620-2520, or email.
 
Wind Creek State Park
Easter Egg Hunt 
Join the staff at Wind Creek for Easter weekend, and stay in one of the cabins or camp by the lake and join in the festivities for Easter.

DeSoto’s 22nd Annual Wildflower Saturday on May 3
Wildflower Saturday is an annual 1-day event held in DeSoto State Park atop Lookout Mountain in Fort Payne, Alabama.  Join staff & volunteers for a wonderful day of learning about the many species of blooming plants found on Lookout Mountain.  Call the park office for overnight reservations (256) 845-5380. Trail Maps & Wildflower Checklists can be found at the Lodge, Country Store and Nature Center. Lake Lurleen State Park                  
“All About Nature” Event, April 18
A celebration on the 75th Anniversary of State Parks highlighting the West Alabama Birding Trail, the grand opening of the Nature Center at Lake Lurleen, and Raptor Trek, and a live bird of prey show.  The event begins at 9:30 a .m. at the Pavilion No. 1. DeSoto State Park
Earth Day Celebration, April 26
Events include:

Monte Sano State Park
Celebrate Happy Earth Day, April, 27

DeSoto State Park
Seafood Buffet Special, April 18, 5 p.m.

Oak Mountain State Park 
Dragon Boat Festival on April 26
The first dragon boat race in the Birmingham region will be held at the picturesque Oak Mountain State Park!  The event will include local and regional teams coming together to race against each other in a series of heats.
