Gulf State Park’s two miles of beaches greet you with plenty of white sun-kissed sand, surging surf, seagulls and sea shells, but there is more than sand and surf to sink your toes into.

  Campground  

 

  Cabin/Cottages

The park offers 20 modern cabins and 11 lakeside cottages all withing walking distance of the golf course and short drive to the beaches.

 

Located 1.5 miles from the white sand beaches, Gulf State Park Campground offers 496 improved full- hookup campsites with paved pads and 11 primitive sites. Tents are welcome on all sites. All full hookup camping pads are large enough for RVs with pullouts. Campground features 11 modern air conditioned bathhouses, campstore, laundry facilities, swimming pool with splash pad, tennis/pickle ball courts, horseshoes, volleyball, Nature Center and weekly activities

 

 

 Over 3 miles of Beautiful White Sand Beaches and Beach Pavilion with concession stand for day picnics or rent it in the evening for a wedding or event. 
 
 
 Refuge Championship Golf Course and Grill
 
 
 Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail- 25 miles of paved trails for walking or biking. Rent a bike from our campstore.
 
Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier- largest pier on the Gulf of Mexico. Great fishing and sightseeing and the sunsets are amazing.  No equipment? Rent everything you need from our onsite Bait and Tackle Shop.

 Nature Center- stop by and get up close and personal with some of our local wildlife. Join us for one of our weekly nature programs.
 
 
Park Adventures-   We have so much to do at Gulf State Park  that you never really need to leave the park. Kayak and paddleboard rentals, Segway tours and bike rentals to explore on the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, parasailing trips, beach service, Geocaching, Kid Cam Summer Camp and our weekly activities schedule has something for everyone.

Area Attractions

The park’s close proximity to Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Foley, Fairhope and Mobile, provides Gulf State Park with several retail and restaurant options to choose from. The Five Rivers Delta Resource Center, Weeks Bay Reserve, The USS Alabama and Meaher State Park are all within driving distance.
