2017 marks the first Annual event during Eagle Awareness that recognizes outstanding citizens and partners that went above and beyond for the sake of Alabama State Parks. This insert was  from the Alabama State Park Partners Facebook page: Friends, we are honored to be recognized by Alabama State Parks Division Greg Lein on Saturday with one of the first two Eagle Awards. Thanks to Coalition Vice Chairperson Sandra Burroughs for accepting the award at the Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge, but the recognition is for all of your for joining int he effort to ensue that our parks' funding will be there for future generations. State Senator Clay Schofield was also presented the new awarded for his longtime support of the parks and his introduction of the bill that became Amendment 2.
