Fishing at sunset on Lake Guntersville in Lake Guntersville State Park.
Enjoy magnificent sunsets in Lake Guntersville State Park.

Lake Guntersville State Park is located along the banks of the Tennessee River in NE Alabama. The park overlooks the majestic 69,000-acre Guntersville Reservoir, and ranges over more than 6,000 acres of natural woodlands. The park has an 18-hole championship golf course, a beach complex, fishing center, hiking trails, nature programs and a day-use area. Modern campground and lakeview cottages on the lake, coupled with a resort lodge on the pinnacle of Taylor Mountain, and chalets on the ridge-tops provide a selection of overnight accommodations beyond comparison.

The outdoor spaces of the upper and lower terraces offer guests a panoramic view of the 69,000 acre Guntersville Reservoir.

Looking for a place to have a meeting? Lake Guntersville Resort State Park provides a massive resort inn, restaurant and convention complex perfect for your association's next state or regional meeting. We have meeting facilities large enough to accommodate a banquet or opening session, along with smaller breakout rooms. The magnificent view of Lake Guntersville from atop Taylor Mountain will provide an experience not soon to be forgotten. This park ranks as a total recreational resort.

Upcoming Fishing Tournaments include the Bassmaster Weekend Series!
