Governor Bob Riley has appointed Hobbie Leonard Sealy to serve as Assistant Commissioner of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Sealy will be responsible for helping guide the agency toward accomplishing its mission to promote the wise stewardship and enjoyment of
Sealy is a former Director of Marketing for the United Services Automobile Association (USAA) and served 21 years with the Air Force, retiring with the rank of colonel. Most recently, he worked as a tax accountant for Seivers and Company in Wetumpka.
Conservation Commissioner Barnett Lawley welcomes Sealy to the Department. “I know that he will be a valuable addition to our staff, and I look forward to working closely with him to further the goals of the Conservation Department,” he said.
