WHERE: Lake Guntersville Resort State Park Lodge, 1155 Lodge Drive, Guntersville, Alabama
Various dignitaries will be on hand to officially open the lodge that has been closed since March of 2004 for a $25 million renovation project. Alabama First Lady Patsy Riley, Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Commissioner M. Barnett Lawley and State Parks Director Mark Easterwood will be joined by state, Guntersville city, and Marshall County officials to cut the ribbon to the new lodge which features new hotel rooms and suites, a redesigned restaurant and modern convention complex.
The public is invited to attend.
Lake Guntersville Resort State Park, one of 22 Alabama State Parks, is located six miles northeast of Guntersville off State Road 227.
