New Regulation on Netting for Food Mullet Above Intracoastal Waterway In Mobile Bay

The Marine Resources Division of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announces that as of September 29, 2004, it shall be lawful to possess mullet on board a boat with a seine, gillnet, trammel net or other entangling net in waters north of the Intracoastal Waterway in Mobile Bay until midnight, October 8, 2004.

This action is being taken to help make up for the economic hardship caused by Hurricane Ivan and the resultant closures of Alabama’s waters in the days following the storm.
