Regulation Amended Concerning Physically Disabled Hunting Areas

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announces an amendment to Rule 220-2-.109-.133ER titled “Physically Disabled Hunting Areas” regarding the rules of conduct at hunting areas throughout the state specifically designated for physically disabled hunters.
Crossbows have been added to the weapons allowed by law for the species hunted. Also, it is unlawful for any person to carry a cocked crossbow in or on a vehicle.
The amendment also addresses species of wildlife other then those designated for hunting. Bobcat or fox may be killed during all scheduled area hunts that occur during the dates of the gun deer and turkey seasons, and coyote or feral swine may be killed during all scheduled area hunts.
The Big Oak area has been exempted from regulations concerning reservations and hunting from an elevated platform.
