New Conservation Enforcement Officer Hired for Marengo County

The Alabama Department of Conservation’s Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries’ District III has added a new Conservation Enforcement Officer. Joe Little was sworn in on March 28. Officer Little will be assigned to Marengo County.

The Enforcement Section is responsible for protection of Alabama’s wildlife and fisheries resources. Conservation Enforcement Officers have an exciting and rewarding outdoor job that demands strength, character, and a high degree of self motivation. Officers are generally assigned at a rate of two per county. District III includes Bibb, Chilton, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Shelby, Sumter and Tuscaloosa counties.

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources promotes wise stewardship, management and enjoyment of Alabama’s natural resources through five divisions: Marine Police, Marine Resources, State Parks, State Lands, and Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries.
