Press Release

Those Using Public Access Areas and Launch Ramps Must Adhere to Rules

June 07, 2006

The Marine Resources Division of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources asks those utilizing public access areas and launch ramps in Mobile and Baldwin counties to adhere to the following rules:

1.  Parking is allowed in designated areas only. Only vehicles with boat trailers allowed to park in double size (extra long) spaces.

2.  Do not block entrances or exits to parking lots, other vehicles, boat ramps or approaches to boat ramps.

3.  No overnight mooring or storage of boats, trailers, vehicles, or any other personal property is allowed.

4.  Use staging area away from ramps and approaches to ramps to prepare boats for launch and recovery.

To assure the safety and enjoyment of those utilizing the public access areas and launch ramps, violators will be towed. Common courtesy will go a long way in helping shorten the wait while launching and recovering boats.
