Montgomery, AL – The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ (ADCNR) Engineering Section announced today that the Mt. Vernon state boat ramp will close Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007 for parking lot renovations. The ramp will be inoperable for approximately 60 days.
The Mt. Vernon boat ramp is located in north Mobile County on the Mobile River in the upper Mobile Delta.
The ADCNR thanks the public in advance for their cooperation and hopes the temporary closing of the ramp will not inconvenience boaters. Locations to access other area boat ramps can be found on the ADCNR Web site at www.outdooralabama.com/boating.
The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources promotes wise stewardship, management and enjoyment of Alabama’s natural resources through five divisions: Marine Police, Marine Resources, State Parks, State Lands, and Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries.
