Higgins Ferry Public Boat Ramp on Lake Mitchell to Close for Renovations Monday, August 9, through Friday, August 20
July 27, 2010
The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division (WFF) will begin making improvements to the public boat ramp located at the end of Chilton Co. Rd. 28 during the week of August 9. These improvements will include extending the launching ramp and re-paving the lower parking area. During this time it will not be possible to launch boats at this public facility. Anglers should make arrangements to launch their boats at one of the other access areas located on the lake. After completing the ramp renovation, the parking lot will be re-paved and striped.
