Nature's Classroom: Plants

JSU Field Schools

Are you ready to take the classroom outside beyond the typical 4 walls? This class series is designed for the home schooling family. This program is 8 weeks long and will meet on the same day at the same time every week (for the entire day). To get the most out of this series, you should attend every class. Each week will build off of the previous week’s lessons. This class is designed for the family (ages 6 and up). This series will focus on plant education and also some wildcrafting. This is a must have class if you want to learn to forage from the landscape for both medicinal and edible use. This a great class for kids: draw, write, build your own journal for plant identification, and build your own herbariums. Extra information is also provided each week so that the parents can go home and reinforce/ further instruct on that week’s lesson material.  Every Monday from March 30 to May 18, 2020

Dates: March 30th, April 6th, April 13th, April 20th, May 4th, May 11th, May 18th
