YES, I CAN! Pressure Canning Workshop

Hosted by DeSoto State Park, the Serious Skills Series is a variety of classes & workshops of various subjects that provide opportunities to experience a new hidden talent or to learn a new skill for personal enjoyment. Classes are open to locals, overnight guests, & park visitors.

This class is for folks who have some experience in canning.  If you would like to learn how to use your pressure canner, feel free to bring it and the directions.   You will be taught how to use yours, as well as other pressure canners that will be at the class.  This is a "hands on" workshop.  At the end of the class you will leave with a jar of canned chicken and a jar of vegetable soup, recipes, confidence and knowledge of how to can food at home.
