Campfire Talk: Fire the Lifesaver of the Coastal Plains
Fire can be devastating and scary. Did you know that it can also be a lifesaver? The longleaf pine is just one of the many plants that depend on wildfires for their life cycle. There are also animals who depend on regular forest fires. Join Jimmy Stiles from Auburn School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences to learn more about the longleaf habitat and the unusual animals who call it home! For more information email Mandy.Pearson@dcnr.alabama.gov or call 256 412-9938.
We are committed to providing programs that are educational, fun, and safe. Family units will be spaced out from other family units. We will provide hand sanitizer stations. Our presenter will use a microphone to project to a larger spaced group.
