"4th Annual Scarecrows In The Park" at Frank Jackson State Park Event and A "Scarecrow 5k Trail Run"

Come out and stay with us at Frank Jackson State Park during the months of October through November for our "Scarecrows In The Park" event.  This event is hosted by Lake Frank Jackson Trailmasters who started the event in 2008.

Scarecrows will line the walking trails of Lake Frank Jackson State Park.  The scarecrows are creatively made by various individuals, businesses, and school groups.  Approximately 3 miles of walking trails will take on very festive and original characters during this 4th annual "Scarecrows In The Park" event.  It is sure to be fun for the whole family.

As the scarecrows are on display during November, the Opp Rotary Club will host our 2nd Annual Scarecrow 5k Trail Run on November 2nd.  Registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. and the run will begin at 8:30 a.m.  There will also be a "Fun Run" for children up to age 10 at the race end.  For campground reservations or more details pertaining to our annual "Scarecrows In The Park" events, or the 2nd Annual Scarecrow 5k Trail Run call Chris at the park office (334) 493-6988.
