Flag Day in the Park
Come join us at Joe Wheeler State Park for a fun-filled day of flag making! Create your own homemade flag or design a Joe Wheeler State Park flag to enter in the flag-making contest ($10 entry fee) All ages are welcome to participate; voting will be based on Facebook likes. The winner will have their design turned into an actual flag that we will fly in our park! Materials & flag-making rules will be available at Pavilion #1 in the Day Use Area. Flags can be turned in throughout the day but MUST be turned in no later than 12:00 PM on Monday, June 14th to be judged. (Turn in flags at Pavilion #1 in the Day Use Area) Voting will conclude on Friday, June 18th at 4:00 pm. The winner will be announced on Joe Wheeler's Facebook and Instagram pages on Saturday, June 19th. (Winner will be contacted)
