July 16th , 17th and 18th the backcountry area will be opened to camping , hiking and horseback riding.

NO ORV'S ALLOWED IN PARK.

You will be able to camp in the backcountry beside Sauty Creek or Morgan's Cove. You will have to hike in to your campsite. Some campsites are closer than others so you may pick how far you wish to hike. These are backcountry sites, be prepared to be in the wilderness without modern conveniences such as electricity, water , cellular phone service.

If you prefer to ride your horse, you will be able to bring it. The trail from the campground to Morgan's Cove will be open to horses. Overnight camping with your horse will also be permitted in certain areas.

Campsites in the backcountry and horse camp are limited. Please call the park office and make your reservation for camping . Backcountry camping and horse camping are by RESERVATION ONLY !

If do not want to camp, you are still welcome to come hike or ride your horse. For hiking or horseback riding no reservation is required, reservation for camping only.

All equines brought in from out of state will need a current Coggins Test and health certificate.

Call Bucks Pocket State Park for reservations. Day Use Pass will be required for backcountry.
