The staff at Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge would like to welcome you to our wonderful facility. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you and your guests.
We ask that you advise us of the final attendance numbers for your event three (3) business days prior to your function so we can make final arrangements. This number is considered a guarantee and will be the number we will prepare for and cannot be reduced.
If your group has reserved a block of guest rooms, they will be held until 60 days prior to your group’s arrival. At that time any rooms not reserved will be released back into inventory; although, we will still honor your group’s rate if rooms are available. All lodging rooms should be reserved with customary first night’s deposit. Cancelation of lodging must be made 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid penalty.
Our sales staff will be happy to arrange for the rental of audio/visual equipment. All audio/visual equipment is subject to a 4% rental tax.
Decorations such as centerpieces, flowers, furniture or linens may be provided by a third party vendor but they must be delivered the day of the event and picked up at the end of the day. Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge is not responsible or liable for any such item if it is lost, damaged, or stolen.
All decorations, displays, and exhibits brought to the Lodge must be approved prior to arrival. They must conform to State Code Fire Regulations and Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge policy.
Included in each room rental is one (1) room set-up, as outlined on the Banquet Event Order. Requests for additional set-ups throughout your event must be made to the Banquet Manager by the on-site contact for the group. At the discretion of the Banquet Manager, rooms may be re-set at a cost of $15 per hour, per staff member required to set the room.
All functions are subject to 8% sales tax. In addition, all food and beverage function are also subject to a 20% service charge. If your group is sales tax exempt, we are required to have a copy of your state sales tax exemption certificate on file.

Please be aware that no outside food and beverage are allowed into the meeting and banquet rooms. This includes snacks, soft drinks, bottled water, alcoholic beverages, and all other food and beverages. Wedding cakes are the only exception to this rule. In addition, due to current health regulations food may not be taken off the premises after it has been prepared and served.
The Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board regulates the sales and service of all alcoholic beverages. The Responsible Vendor Program policy states that no alcoholic beverages may be brought into the Lodge for any function. Also, as a supplier of alcoholic beverages, we encourage our patrons to drink responsibly and we will not serve alcoholic beverages to minors or to anyone who appears to be intoxicated.
Banquet and Meeting Room Assignments
Banquet and meeting rooms are assigned in accordance with anticipated attendance. Revisions in the attendance may necessitate reassignment to a more suitable room at the discretion of Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge. Although we rarely have to move our groups, we do reserve the right to do so, if necessary.
The Lodge reserves the right, in the event of inclement weather forecasts, to relocate the function indoors. This decision can be made by management up to three (3) hours prior to the scheduled starting time. Please note that refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather.
Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s)
Approximately 30 days prior to your event we will contact you for your menu selections, anticipated attendance, room setup details, times, etc. Once we have collected this information we will email documents titled Banquet Event Orders or BEO’s for your review and signature. BEO’s will be the agreement between you and Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge. These BEO’s are distributed to our entire staff to assure that your event is a success. We ask that you carefully review each of the BEO’s before signing and returning them to us via email, fax, or standard mail.
Please make any changes and/or additions to your BEO’s or sales contracts by email or in writing rather than by telephone to assure all communication is accurate.
A security deposit is required when a signed contract is returned. The security deposit will be the rental fee of each banquet room/space for every day reserved. Security deposits are non-refundable if space is canceled within 6 months of the date of the event. If canceled more than 6 months in advance, the security deposit is fully refundable.
All functions are to be paid in advance unless a Direct Billing account has been established with Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge or a credit card is on file.
