Go on a Science and History Hike and learn about how the park was physically formed millions of years ago to how this land became Oak Mountain State Park today through the work of the CCC! This educational hike takes us back in time with a neat geological surprise at the end!

Bring your camera for beautiful sights!

Meet at the North Trail Head at 2:00pm. After a quick introduction we will begin our hike up the Red Trail. This hike is considered moderate with slight elevation gain. There is a point at the end where it is slightly steep for only a few minutes.
Dogs welcome on leashes! Dress appropriately for the weather.
