Cheaha State Park is known for its amazing sunsets. Every evening visitors are delighted to see a new painting in the western sky. Enjoy an interpretive hike as the sun descends. The program is free with gate admission and to overnight guests.

Senic Story Time

Join our park Naturalist Mandy Pearson as she tells the story of "What Pet Should I Get" by Dr. Seuss at the Leve No Trace Teaching Pavilion located in Cheaha State Park followed by a special visit of a Teacher Creature (one of Mandy's many slithering, furry, crawling critters) as you enjoy a cookie bar and hot chocolate! All ages welcome, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Availability is limited.

Night Hike

Many animals are nocturnal which means they are only active at night. These animals live a fascinating life. Enjoy learning about these creatures and possibly observing some of these animals on an accessible night hike. The program is free with gate admission and to overnight guests.
