Picnic Pavilions
Looking for a fun, casual lakeside setting to host a celebration? The Lake Shelby Picnic Area, on the lake's southern shore, features two pavilions you can rent for a variety of events. Each pavilion has at least four picnic tables and one charcoal grill for guests to use.
HOW TO RESERVE THE PICNIC PAVILIONS
Our event planner is available every day from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to reserve your event.

RENTAL RATES
- The rental rate for a Picnic Pavilion is $73.00 plus a $5.25 reservation fee.
- Full payment and completed, signed paperwork are due when you make the reservation.
- Rental time is from 8:00 AM to sunset.
- The Picnic Pavilions are not available to rent on major holidays.
GENERAL RULES
- Reservations may be made up to one year in advance.
- For a full refund, you must cancel your reservation more than 30 days before the event date. No refunds will be issued within 30 days.
- In case of inclement weather, we will reschedule the event, but we will not issue a refund.
- A reservation guarantees either Pavilion 1 or Pavilion 2. Pavilion 1 is across from the Lake Shelby playground. Pavilion 2 is at the east end of the Lake Shelby Picnic area. Please specify your preferred pavilion when you make your reservation.
- There are no electrical outlets or power sources under or near the Picnic Pavilions.
- The Reservation Name will be displayed at the assigned location.
- Return the Picnic Pavilion to its original state after use.
- Decorations should be limited to tabletops or free-standing.
- Do not use glass containers, tape, tacks, pins, nails, or any other adhesives on the posts or ceilings.
- Fireworks, balloons, and wishing lanterns are not allowed at the Picnic Pavilions.
- Charcoal grills are available, but the Renter must provide charcoal and all cooking utensils.
- The Renter is also responsible for cleaning the grill and removing all debris, charcoal, and used cooking/eating utensils.
- A swimming area is located at Lake Shelby Park.
- There are no lifeguards on duty.
- Renter agrees to adhere to all safety regulations and take full responsibility for every person in their party.
- Damage to the facility or failure to leave it clean could result in the cancellation of any remaining scheduled events.
- If you do not follow the guidelines, a minimum $50.00 damage/cleaning fee will be assessed.
