Environmental Education Excursions: (Animal Clues)

Experience this monthly series of nature programs designed to immerse you in the beauty of the outdoors! These offerings provide adults with the opportunity to relish a taste of "camp life," featuring activities like tree identification, birdwatching, tracking scat and prints, fossil exploration, and refining your nature journaling skills. Don't miss out on the chance to reconnect with nature and foster a deeper appreciation for the world around us!

Join in on the hunt for clues to see what animals live here! Assistant Interpretive Naturalist, Mirandi Watson, will lead you on a journey to look for animal clues along the trails of DeSoto State Park.  Bring along a backpack with plenty of water, snacks, and lunch.  You may also want to grab your favorite journal and some crayons or colored pencils to write down your clues as we go along.  While tailored for adults, this program warmly welcomes children to join in and learn alongside you.
