Environmental Education Excursions: Fossils & Geology of Lookout Mtn.

Experience this monthly series of nature programs designed to immerse you in the beauty of the outdoors! These offerings provide adults with the opportunity to relish a taste of "camp life," featuring activities like tree identification, birdwatching, tracking scat and prints, fossil exploration, and refining your nature journaling skills. Don't miss out on the chance to reconnect with nature and foster a deeper appreciation for the world around us!

Explore the rocks, fossils, and sandstone outcrops of Lookout Mtn. as we take a walking tour led by Assistant Interpretive Naturalist, Mirandi Watson.  Bring along a backpack with plenty of water, snacks, and lunch.  You may also want to grab your favorite journal, along with some crayons or colored pencils to record the finds we make.  While tailored for adults, this program warmly welcomes children to join in and learn alongside you.
