Environmental Education Excursions: Nature as Art (land art, & natural pigment painting)

Experience this monthly series of nature programs designed to immerse you in the beauty of the outdoors! These offerings provide adults with the opportunity to relish a taste of "camp life," featuring activities like tree identification, birdwatching, tracking scat and prints, fossil exploration, and refining your nature journaling skills. Don't miss out on the chance to reconnect with nature and foster a deeper appreciation for the world around us!

Have you ever thought of Nature as Art?  Come learn how to use the natural world around you to create your own art!  During this program, led by Assistant Interpretive Naturalist, Mirandi Watson, we will learn about nature photography, how to create land art in an environmentally friendly way, and how to use pigments from our natural world to create art. Bring along a backpack with plenty of water, snacks, and lunch. Please also bring a journal, crayons or colored pencils.  While tailored for adults, this program warmly welcomes children to join in and learn alongside you.
