Join us at Chewacla to learn more about our fireflies and watch them glow in the dark!
Bring your friends and family to learn about the fireflies at Chewacla! Fireflies are most active in the summer and can be found at night in the park. During the program, we’ll learn more about them and their importance to the environment, and how we can protect them. After, we’ll watch for firefly activity across the park! Please limit flashlights and flash photography as much as you can. Do not attempt to catch any fireflies. Feel free to bring a blanket and watch the fireflies!
Our Nature Center is located in the second parking lot loop on the right next to the new playground and restrooms.
