Pete Mitchum Awarded ACEOA Officer of the Year

Recently, Alabama State Park Ranger Pete Mitchum was selected by the Alabama Conservation Enforcement Officers Association as the 2022 Officer of the Year. This award is given to an Officer whose leadership and strong law enforcement presence has been demonstrated through public outreach events, development of division programs, and building positive community relations.

When Pete transferred from Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries to State Parks, he brought over 20 years of law enforcement experience with him. Pete has been a key player in several law enforcement cases and community programs since transferring to the Alabama State Parks. His experience has also helped with the development of internal reporting tools that allows the Rangers to perform their tasks much more efficiently. He provides a wealth of knowledge to everything he is involved in and we are proud that he is a part of the Alabama State Parks.
