Astronomical Viewing
Join Dr. Mel Blake and the Park Naturalist for an astronomical viewing!
On April 22nd, meet us at the Golf Course Pro Shop where we will have a telescope set up for visitors of he park to view several planets, star clusters, and nebulae over the course of the evening. This will coincide with the Lyrid Meteor Shower, which should provide up to 10 to 15 meteor views per hour!
Feel free to bring folding chairs, binoculars, and snacks if you would like. Check the weather for the evening and dress appropriately, we will be outside for the duration of this program.
This program is weather dependent!
If you are staying at the lodge, you can take a short walk to the golf course along the Benny Bobo Accessible Trail or you can drive and park in the Golf Course parking lot.
