Embark on a day of hands-on Junior Ranger discovery!
Trade a regular Saturday for a day of hands-on discovery at Buck's Pocket State Park! This staff-led Junior Ranger Adventure Day invites families to explore the outdoors through guided experiences, practical skills, and nature-centered fun, all rooted in Leave No Trace and Alabama State Parks standards.
Rotate through family-oriented program experiences such as hiking, crafts, and educational workshops while completing your Junior Ranger Adventure Guide! At the end of the day, participants will share what they've learned, take the Junior Ranger pledge, and receive their official badge and certificate.
Lunch will be provided at a midday campfire cookout. Once you have registered, please email any food allergies or dietary restrictions to the Park Naturalist at anna.crow@dcnr.alabama.gov.
We have a campground special available for program attendees! Contact Park Manager Sydney Carroll at (256) 622-8400 for more information or to book your campsite!
