Cave Tour Information  

Regular cave tour hours and pricing are not offered during Wonderland Under Warrior. Regular guided tours will resume on January 10, 2026. Due to the high volume of large group bookings, online reservations are highly recommended at  https://reserve.alapark.com/rickwood-caverns/tours. Tickets can also be purchased in person at our gift shop. 

 

For your safety and convenience, access to the cave is available only with a tour guide. Be advised that the cave tour is 1 (one) mile long and includes 365 stairs, including 110 steps to the exit.  It stays a comfortable 62 degrees in the cave year-round. Pets are not allowed inside the cave or buildings.   

Tour Admission Fee

  • Age 12 and up: $19.00
  • Age 5 to 11: $9.00
  • Under Age 5: FREE with parent or guardian

Cave Tour Hours

  • 10:00, 12:00, 2:00, and 4:00. 

Group Cave Tours

  • Special groups of 20 or more (such as schools, civic, or commercial organizations) can be accommodated during the seasonal tour schedule by appointment.
  • Call the park office at 205-647-9692 year-round.
  • Group discounts are $8.00 per child for the cave tour or $13.00 for the cave tour and gem mining
  • Adults are $14.00 for the cave tour
  • Teachers are free (one teacher per class)

Virtual Reality Cave Tour

For those guests unable to walk through the cave, we offer a VR Cave Tour. The tour is guided by one of the original Boy Scouts who helped develop the cave. This experience is free and subject to availability.
