Join local photographers Terry Shell & Pat Stewart for a 4-hour photography workshop. We will spend two hours in the classroom learning about your camera equipment and photography basics, we will then spend the final two hours shooting waterfalls at High Falls County Park. This will be a hands-on experience and will help you to better understand your camera equipment, how to better photograph waterfalls, as well as photograph using slower than normal shutter speeds and smaller apertures that yield greater depth-of-field.

Topics will include but not limited to:

  • Introduction to Basic Photography Vocabulary (Exposure Triangle, Shooting Modes, Depth of Field, Reading a Histogram, Live View, Etc.)
  • Required and Optional Gear (Camera, Tripod & Ballhead, Filters, etc.)
  • Shooting Locations
  • Composition
  • Weather and Water Conditions (Safety and Local Water Gauge Websites)

Make sure to bring your camera, charged batteries, and shoes that might get wet/muddy!

There is a max capacity of only 25 people for this class so that each attendee receives one-on-one time with a teacher to learn their own camera and equipment.

No shuttles will be provided for transportation. All attendees will have to drive personal vehicles to on-site shooting location.
