Fishing
Lake Lurleen State Park will open to the public on April 15, 2026.
FISHING
- An Alabama State Fishing License is required. Purchase a license online.
- Fishing is allowed by rod and reel, or pole and line.
- Trot lines, set hooks, gigs, nets, seines, spear guns, bow and arrow, etc., are PROHIBITED
FISHING AFTER 9:00 P.M.
- Fishing boats may launch from the south boat ramp.
- Bank fishing is allowed from Pier One ONLY.
- Day-use fees apply. Please use the Honor Box system located at the back of the entrance building. A valid receipt must be in your possession.

- Catfish
- Bream
- Crappie
CREEL LIMITS SUBJECT TO CHANGE FOR SPECIAL EVENTS AND TIME FRAMES. ANY CHANGES WILL BE POSTED AT THE ENTRANCE STATION.
