Located inside the park, the cabins are close to the caverns, the gift shop and the trails. The

cabins are operated by Vista Recreation (formerly Recreation Resource Management) and are a great choice for our overnight guests. There are 4 cabins total with one being ADA accessible and one being pet-friendly. Guests will be pleased with the floorplan and interior design of the cabins. Modeled after the  "Tiny Cabin" concept these cabins are sure to be a favorite for vacationers.

Cathedral Caverns is a short drive from several great north Alabama attractions including: Lake Guntersville, Monte Sano, Desoto and Buck’s Pocket State Parks, Scottsboro, Huntsville, and the Marshall Space Flight Center.

The Cabins at the Caverns

Spelunker Bunker, Big Rock Cabin, and the Goliath Getaway include the following:

• Two bedrooms and a bathroom with a full-sized tub.
• Kitchen with a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, and dining area with table and chairs. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and cookware.
• Living room with a couch, built-in fireplace, and T.V.
• Air conditioning and heating.
• Screened-in porch.
• One queen bed in one room, and two sets of bunk beds (4 twin beds) in the other room.
• Sleeps 6 people.

The Grotto (ADA) includes the following:

• Vaulted ceilings with beams.
• One bedroom with a queen bed and easily accessible by wheel chair.
• Large ADA accessible bathroom and walk-in shower.
• Kitchen with a refrigerator, stove top, microwave, and dining area with table and chairs. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and cookware. Counters are ADA accessible.
• Screened-in porch.
• Living room with a couch and TV for DVD movies.
• Air conditioning and heating.
• Sleeps 2 people.

Effective August 1, 2022, linens will no longer be provided for your cabin stay due to limited resources and quality supplies. Please bring your own sheets and towels for your cabin stay. Pillows and mattress covers are provided.

Additional Information

Vista Recreation in a partnership agreement with Alabama State Parks, provide these facilities for your convenience and enjoyment. State Park rules apply to the cabins.

 

• Check-in time is between 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. If unable to arrive between those hours, please contact the campground Hosts at 256-728-4503 to make arrangements.

• The entrance gate is provided for your security. Only registered campers are allowed in the park after closing hours.

• No smoking allowed in the cabins.

• One of the cabins is pet-friendly.

• Fireworks of any type are prohibited.

• You must be 21 years old to reserve a cabin.

• All trash is to be deposited in the provided dumpsters.

• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Disruptive campers may be asked to vacate without reimbursement.

• Golf carts are not permitted for guest use, unless operated by a park volunteer with proof of state tag registration, and when applicable, have a visible ADA placard on the cart.
