Chewacla State Park Geocaching

GEOCACHING

Geocaching is like a high tech game of hide and seek with pirate booty thrown in for fun.  All that is required to start geocaching is a hand held gps unit or a smart phone with a geocaching app and a free user account on Geocaching.com.

Once you have gotten your coordinates loaded, come to the park and let the fun begin.  The park hosts an annual Geofest in the spring where new geocaches are activated, many of which span multiple state parks.  If you only have time for a few caches we would suggest giving those built by "Woodnut" a first look.  Geocaches built and placed by Woodnut tend to be challenging puzzle boxes that you have to open once finding them.
