Day Use Area and Picnic Pavilions
Joe Wheeler Day Use Area and picnic facilities include three large picnic pavilions, our swimming area, an ADA-accessible fishing pier, basketball and tennis courts, and more! A limited amount of recreational equipment is available for checkout. Trailheads are also located in this area and wind through the park and along the shoreline. The setting for the day-use area is in a cove off the main Tennessee River. It is a very picturesque spot that offers fantastic river views. It is within walking distance of our campground.

- $5.00 Adult (12+)
- $2.00 Children (6-11)
- $2.00 Seniors (62+)
- $20 Carload (more than six people)
- VETERANS and ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY ARE FREE
Picnic Pavilions:
The price of the pavilions does NOT include the entry fee. You can pay for all those attending your event, or each person can be required to pay upon entry. We accept pavilion reservations up to one year in advance.

Other Information:
There is limited shade available. Although tents are not permitted on the beach, users are encouraged to bring and utilize easy-up type tents in other areas.
For the Sandy Beach Area:
