December 14th is National Alabama Day; what better way to spend it than being outside learning about our diverse state! Alabama is one of the most biologically diverse states in the United States and is a global hotspot of diversity for several groups of plants and animals. 

Join Park Naturalist Sam Woodroof on an interpretive hike through our Champion Trail learning all about the biodiversity of Alabama. As you hike, you will learn about the flora and fauna of Alabama and your biodiversity knowledge will be put to the test! How diverse IS Alabama? Where do we rank nationally? What makes Alabama so diverse? All your questions will be answered on the Biodiversity of Alabama Hike!
