Bucks Pocket State Park is located within 30 minutes of Guntersville by following Alabama Highway 227 South towards Grove Oak. Follow the state park signs to the park. Several hiking trails, majestic views from scenic overlooks into a deep canyon, fly fishing from the banks of Town Creek, are some of the many things that may be enjoyed at this scenic state park.

 



High Falls Park is located in the Northwest corner of DeKalb County in Geraldine and is within 30 minutes of Guntersville State Park. It is easily found by following Alabama Highway 227 South. A green sign marks the entrance to this amazing day use park with stunning waterfalls. Enthusiasts will enjoy whitewater rafting, fly fishing from Town Creek, hiking, and spectacular scenery.

 



Cathedral Caverns State Park is one of the finest show caves in the United States. Cathedral Caverns is located within 40 minutes of Guntersville State Park by following AL Hwy. 227 North to Hwy. 431 North. Turn right off of 431 at the state park sign in Grant.

 



Huntsville Area Attractions are within 1 hour of Guntersville State Park. They include the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Early Works Museum, Sci-Quest, Monte Sano State Park, Burritt on the Mountain Museum, and much more. Follow Alabama Highway 227 North to Highway 431 North into Huntsville.
