Join Alabama State Parks Conservation, Education, and Recreation Team for a delightful day of celebration during National Pollinator Week at Oak Mountain State Park.
Event Schedule:
10:00 am: Grand Debut of Statewide Pollinator Gardens and Storybook Trails
Witness the unveiling of twelve new statewide pollinator gardens and six captivating storybook trails, made possible by an Alabama Association of RC&D Councils grant.
10:30 am – 1:00 pm: Festival Fun!
Engage in an array of environmental education and art activities, embark on guided Secret Garden strolls, groove to live music, and indulge in delectable offerings from food trucks.
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Encounter Bats, Bugs, and Biodiversity
Get up close with live bats and take part in bat-themed crafts led by Vicky Beckham Smith and A-Z Animals. This educational program is provided through a grant from the Big Cedar Education Foundation.
It’s a day for the entire family to learn about and honor the essential roles of our pollinators. Join us for a celebration you won’t want to miss!
