Temporary Beach Closure
New Beach Restrooms are on their way!!!
Demolition has begun on the old beach bath houses in order to make room for brand new, updated bathrooms on Double Oak Lake!
The beach on Double Oak Lake will be closed beginning Monday, March 7th to accommodate demolition of the beach bathhouses. To help ensure the safety of park guests, no one will be allowed on the beach until further notice. Demolition should be completed In Approximately 2 weeks!
We are SO excited to be able to offer new beach restrooms to our park guests! We do have a smaller beach at the North end of the park on Beaver Lake as an alternate option. We also have miles of hiking and biking trails, an 18 hole golf course, guided horseback rides, interpretive centers and programming, marina rentals coming in March, and much more! There are so many options for park guests to enjoy while at Oak Mountain State Park!
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and want to thank you for your continued support of Oak Mountain State Park!
