Bald Rock Group Lodge
Bald Rock Lodge
ALERT: Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 restrictions and Social Distancing requirements, Cheaha State Park believes that “crisis is opportunity” for the Bald Rock Group Lodge. In 2018 when tornados wreaked havoc across northeast Alabama, the chimneys and roof of the group lodge were severely damaged. The Alabama Building Commission has approved an improvement project for the group lodge to replace the damaged roof, repair leaks, and refurbish structural damage during a time frame of May 4 -July 30, 2020. The rock chimneys and fireplaces will not be restored to wood burning capacity, but we hope to accrue funding to install gas log fire units in the lodge by winter 2021.
The historic Bald Rock Lodge was built by CCC Company 2420 to be the original hotel and restaurant for the park. Currently, the lodge is used for group rentals.
This facility is ideal for weddings, meetings, family reunions, and group retreats. The Bald Rock Lodge includes 12 rooms, sleeping up to 32 overnight guests, a full-service catering kitchen, a large conference/banquet hall with seating for over 100 people, and a small conference room with seating for 12.
