Campfire Talk: Fire Ecology
Campfire Talk: Fire Ecology
Fire can be devastating. But did you know that it can also be a lifesaver? The longleaf pine is just one of the many plants that depend on wildfires for their life cycle. There are also animals that depend on regular forest fires. Join Jimmy Stiles of the Auburn School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences to learn more about the longleaf habitat, the unusual animals who call it home, and how a fire develops and moves through an ecosystem.
