Eco Explorers: Beginner Birding 101

Birding is an excellent way to explore and connect to nature. It is a great skill, a fun activity, and easy to learn. Approximately 430 species of birds call Alabama home. Join Park Naturalist Mandy Pearson as she guides you along Cheaha’s meandering trails in search of some of the park’s most spectacular wild birds. Bring your own set of binoculars and get to know more about Alabama’s feathered friends.

For more information email Mandy.Pearson@dcnr.alabama.gov or call 256 412-9938. The program is free with gate admission and to overnight guests. We are committed to providing programs that are educational, fun, and safe. Family units will be spaced out from other family units. We will provide hand sanitizer stations.
